A split with one of British punks most overrated bands ever. Deadline has the most annoying female singer in history and as much as i like squeky singers like Becky Bondage i just cant stand Elisabeths voice. In Deadlines slower songs she destroyes them by sounding monotone and in their faster and harder songs she sounds more like a chipmunk than pissed.
Deadline fails all the way as usuall and Brassknuckle boys "side" isnt much better. One good song (Vultures) that can be found on their 2001 album. This CDEP got re-released as a full-length split in 2006 with additional songs. The full-length is just as shitty so save your moey and purchase their phenomenal Songs about fighting from 2009 instead.

Man, I know you hate Deadline but man that was brutal. I really don't think she is that bad of a singer. Having listened to a lot of grindcore and bad metal in my day I've heard a lot worse.

Ok might be worse female singers out there but she's atleast on my top-5 list (right next to Jessica Simsons sister haha).
RaderaI actually like Liz Rose's voice. It's just that a lot of the songs aren't really that interesting. I've sold all my Deadline albums now, apart from the first one. Which I haven't played for ages.
SvaraRaderaWhere do you stand on Antonella Klass (I think that's what she's calling herself now)? I thought that her 'Phoenix' album last year was awesome, but if you think that about Liz Rose's singing, I suspect that your answer will be 'on the neck'... :)

A big Klasse Kriminale fan and i loved her solo-stuff. Dont really think they sound the same though since Antonella has a softer and little bit lower voice. Or maybe its just me having double standards
RaderaI've seen Antonella's voice described as 'jazz-tinged' before - but also 'like two cats fighting in a sack', or something like that.
RaderaI like her though. AKK and the Straw Dogs are basically the same band with different singers now. So a split album would be the next logical step, I guess.
BTW, the first Deadline song I ever heard was 'Another Day In Paradise', not realizing that it was a cover (hadn't checked out On File then) and I thought 'yeah, these are good'... :)
Another fun thing about Antonella that i didnt learn until later in life is that she also used to sing for Battle zone. I contemplated how awefully resembling the backup vocalist on "Another life" was to Antonella and checked the booklet whereshe was credited. She was all over the world back in the days.
RaderaI hate to admit it but I didn't even know that Klasse Kriminales changed female vocalist. I guess I need to dig those albums out and give them a listen again.
