About the downloads.

Don't ask me to upload old records since they can all be found on a P2P service that's totally free.

Rapidshare? WTF?

Just came back from 2 weeks of hard work and traveling to notice that the site i have been throwing thousands of Swedish kroners at through the years now use a new interface and what looks to me as a new system which makes it impossible to share files to people that are not paying members at the site.
Can someone please explain how the fuck one gets that "share adress" when uploading an album to that site so one can share it to people that are not members on Rapidshare....
For the money i pay every month i would expect them to actually do what i pay them for, which means hosting my files online for other people to enjoy. This is fucking bullshit!

  1. what I see when I click a link is a blank page, where I use to see the file and option to download, HOWEVER, the file does start to download without having to click download, so it still works I guess in a weird way

  2. The old links are fine and all but the issue is when i upload something i dont get an adress that i can use as a link for people who want to download it like it used to be before. Now it seems like i can only put it as a "shared file" meaning my friends on Rapidshare can open that folder and choose what files to download.

  3. i just clicked on a download link and it started coming in immediately and without the usual 3 or 4 additional clicks that it took to get the download started. from my end it is a much better system. i also was not exposed to any goddamn ads for dick pills or belly fat reduction. as a proud american skinhead I am not open to the suggestion that belly fat is something to be ashamed of. keep up the good work B!

  4. Very Strange new look for rapidshare, it seems to work, but my god is it strange. Anyone figure out how to look at the number of downloads a file has had?

I logged out of my account and then tried to download a file it works but it, doesn't seem to be as straight forward as it used to be.

    Fun times eh?

    1. Tell me when you figured out how to get the "download adress" for the new files you upload. Until anyone figures this out i'll sit this one out.

  5. I can't figure out how to get a new file to up load. I hit upload and nothing seems to happen anyone else having this issue?

As for getting the download address.
    1. Highlight the file that you want to share, it should turn blue.
    2. When this happens in the right side of that line there will be a three pointed thing that looks like a less than sign from math class.
    3. Click on it and it will ask you to name the file.
    4. Give the file a name and it will give you the Download address,

Now If anyone can explain how to actually upload anything. It doesn't seem that the upload button does anything I can see. I was trying to do this last night and their web site was down.

    Fun times.

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers,

    1. Thanks Brian. Tried it and it worked but...... i can't upload anything new. Having the same issue as you have. I hit upload and it starts to uplaod but then it just dissapears and i cant find the file anywhere even if i search for it.

This is pure bullshit and i would change host if it didnt mean that all my old yuploads will disappear as soon as i stop paying for their services. Is this some sort of new cyber hostage situation going on or what?

Well atleast i almost have my health.

  6. I finally figured this out too after almost losing my mind. I tell you this upgrade if you want to call it that, makes the last one look like nothing.

If you try and down load one of the new files from now on click on the link it should automatically download if it doesn't open the link and then make your browser window to max and it should appear at the bottom of the page.

Click on the link and it should give you the option to download the file. Good Luck!!
