National pride worldwide Vol.2 - The spirit of St George CD (2014)

The most epic album serie gets even more epic as Bernando Says!!! (me) delivers the second installment of National Pride World Wide to the shores of the saxons. Brutalising and forcing patriotic passion down the throats of the weak and unaware. This could very well be the most free, illegal and patriotic bootleg that has ever been produced.
Happy St George's day!!

V/A - A Better Tomorrow 7'' (2011)

Tracklist:
01. Noi!se - Idle Action
02. Razors in the night - Frustration
03. The broadsiders - The good men do
04. Sydney ducks - Brannan's fall

Released by Longshot Records in 2011.

If modern hitrecords in Oi! is a thing then i guess this is it. A little ep that sold out almost at the same time it hit the distros. For good reasons since its a damn good comp but also much thanks to the fact that it gathers up all sides of the more comercial Oi! in the states today. Compare this compilation to the Werewolves in the city LP released around the same time and you will realise that there's two degrees of Oi! in the current scene. One is stillstuck at streetlevel and is as uncomfortable and politically awkward as the bands of old in the UK where. This EP gathers up the bands that you can easily bring home to your mother for dinner. It's easylistening with few nails in the eyes of the listeners. It might sound like i see this as something negative but it's a ying/yang thing and i'm happy these bands exist to the degree they do. It can't all be about killing politicians and marching on Washington with the head of your local sherrif as a banner.

Starting the comp of is one of my favourite modern US bands Noi!se with their now wellknown streetOi! sound. Band needs no introduction and if i have to pick favourites this would be the one.

Second band is a band that i might have been shitting on when they first came out. This is for the sole reason that i never liked their sound and couldnt understand what all the fuss was about. Calmed down a couple of years on and i can understand it (even though it's still not my thing). They play rough Oi!core (if that still is a genre in the 00's) with the typical stops, breaks and shoutouts. It's what it is and people seem to be all over it like fat kids on cake so hey who am i to judge.

B-side is more for the rockin crowd and has the southern kings of Rock'n'oi! delivering an awesome and brand new song then handing the torch to Sydney Ducks that finnish things of with their more mods influenced sound. It's a good combination of what modern US Oi! is and the varied sounds that coexist but i feel that it somehow skips the sound that is the most important. The unpolished and Oi!-sounding Oi! and if they would have featured any of the werewolf bands from the eastcoast or some of the classic bands that where all doing comeback albums around this time i think it would have gone full circle but for now it's an almost perfect representation of the modern US scene (with some of the best coverart to ever leave the presses at the Longshot studio).

V/A - Super yobs Vol.2 CD (1998)

Tracklist:
01. LRF - To late to mend
02. Toughskins - England
03. Side Burns - Get away
04. Boot Party - Your fate
05. Roughtrade - Talk back
06. Templars - No rhymer, nor reason
07. The Hawks - All the way
08. Bovver Wonderland - Super Yob
09. Blade - sKKKrewed ravers
10. 90 proof - Homeward bound
11. Bad vultures - 77-82-93
12. The choice - In this together
13. Crickey Crew - For life
14. The authority - Smash it up
15. Pist'n'broke - Friday's children

Released by Vulture Rock in 1996 on LP and then re-issued on CD in 1998 (this version).

Volume one was a split with Templars and Red alert (uploaded here so search) but for this second volume the vulture set sail to the east and came ended up creating history at the same time. The Japan scene has always been superb but few really knew about it's existence until Vulture made it global with this record and the now legendary Werewolfen album (the record that opened up my eyes to Japans SSS/Oi! scene).

From start to finnish this record is well thought through and the bands are really handpicked to suit the over all sound. Some bands sound so simulair it's hard to pick them apart if it wasnt for the broken engrish from some of the Japan bands. For instance Blade's song sKKKrewed Ravers almost identical to the sound Bovver Wonderland has on their LP called Born to booze. The release claims it's a sound called "Kick Rock" which is a new thing to me since i have always thought of it as Rock Oi!.

Most bands from both sides of the pond are probably well known by you all nowdays and to keep it short (i am home sick with a fever and all) i will pick out the favourite songs from both nations.
Best song from US is Boot Party's Your fate. A band that keeps it basic and brutal just the way i like it. Best Japan song is Bad Vultures song called 77-82-93, because of the bands engrish i don't have a clue what the song is about but i can imagine it's about punks and Oi!s various births and rebirths (just looking at the date's).

Anyway excellent release featuring excellent bands and to make it a "thing" i will try to upload 2 Japanese Oi!/SSS albums a day the comming week over at Fuck yeah.

Released as a free compilation by American-Oi in 2013.

It's always nice to see someone else being dedicated to the same shit as you are so i was well happy to see the birth of American-Oi a few months back. I was even more psyched when i noticed the guy behind it was a stand-up guy lacking in the political agendas and scene bullshit that most other folks seem to push these days. Filled to the brink with interviews, reviews and other stuff all free from charge and no hidden commercial interest (seems every other "diehard" today either runs a distro, t-shirt store or try to promote their own bands..). As the site declaired a free compilation (and already in the making of vol.2) i was supposed to post it straight away but work and life got in the way. Anyway here it is.

Even though my prefered choice of modern Oi! bands differ from the bands selected for this comp i must say the site does a bloody good job at promoting and presenting the most current and active bands in the US today. The sounds differ from streetpunk, oi!-core and pure brickwall Oi! giving everyone a chance of enjoying the music weither diehard or just passing through the modern scene.

I wont go in on what bands i dislike since most probably know this by now so instead i'll just pick my favourite new band, favourite song and favourite old band comming back.

Best new band: The hardknocks - American hero's
Unknown new band bringing a great and rough Oi! sound reminding me about the early 90's US sound (Backstreets of American Oi!). Check them out at http://www.reverbnation.com/thehardknocksoi

Best song: The wolverines - Resist
A band with the right attitude and the right gutter sound that keeps on getting better and better every time i hear them. I crowned them the best new band of 2012 together with their NY211 friends in Lonewolf NYC and cant understand how they have NOT released a proper record yet. United Riot Records often has it's ears to the street so hopefully we can see something later this year.

Best comeback: Riotgun - Disposable Generation
They might be a streetpunk band but it's also one of the few streetpunk bands with anything to say these days. Excellent vocals and a song as good as their old underground classic Glory.

It's all free and to be honest it's ten times better than most US Oi!/Streetpunk comps released by "proper labels" this year.

Visit the site and keep your eyes out for a Vol.2 which should be out there any day now.

National Pride Worldwide Vol.1 - American Pride CD (2013)

Bernando wishes a happy 4th of July with this comp made out of raw liberty, processed with freedom and painted in red white and blue. As always this bootleg is made without any interest of making money and is given away by me and me alone on the internet for free. No band has authorized me putting them on the comp and no fucks are given to any bands "artistic freedoms" being stamped on. This is punk not American Idol so man up or get out.

V/A - Backstreet Yobs CD (2010)

Tracklist:
01. Rust - Oi! Oi! Aussie Rock 'n' Roll (Australia)
02. Blue collar criminals - Backstabbed
03. Stranglehold - Fight to survive (Australia)
04. Beerocephals - Pirat (Russia)
05. The hoist - Ownhand (Finland)
06. Open finger is broken finger - Love, jealosy and hate (Finland)
07. Blue collar criminals - Used to love her
08. The pauki - Who said she should quit (Russia)
09. Those unruly - Adrenaline
10. Rust - Urban legends (Australia)
11. Beerocephals - Bodrie Kolesa (Russia)
12. Those unruly - Skinhead rock'n'roll
13. Open finger is broken finger - Friday night (Finland)
14. The pauki - Enter (Russia)
15. The hoist - I think this is the time (Finland)
16. Stranglehold - Never hold me back (Australia)

Released by H8-Piece Records in 2010.

A co-production inbetween 4 record companies from around the globe all offering various sounds of various qualities.

So lets start witht he proper good stuff, namely the Australian Oi! scene here in the form of Stranglehold and Rust. Two bands that are far from your average Aussie sounding Oi! and to be quite honest when i think Australia+Skinhead i often think about their early RAC scene (White Noise, White Lighning and Fortress).
Stranglehold was a completly new experience for me and a pleasant such proving yet again that females can do good and melodic Oi! without sounding like shit. Lisa's vocals are perfect and fit the streetpunk hybrid perfectly. Two excellent songs.
Rust's members are old in the scene but the band as such was basicly new at the time of this release (i think they released their first album in 2009). Even though a young band they sound damn tight together and their opening song for this comp is one of the best out of Australia in some time. Both songs they provide are old but probably the best from their early works.

Then the not so good stuff, namely the Russian Oi! scene (or at least the bands representing it here). First out is Beerocephals. A band that wears make-up and dresses like clowns. No i don't mean they dress in "bright clothing" or mix and match into madness, they actually dress like fucking clowns. They also incorporate accordions in their songs which i guess can be intresting but they sound like proper garbage. By far the band on the record.
Second Russian band is The Pauki. A band that is ok but thanks to their bad selection of songs for the comp they just blend away into the Russian shitstream that Beerocephals opened up.

America gives us two bands that most seem to either hate or love. I never had an issue with Blue Collar Criminals other than their vocalists ability to sound somewhat retarded after a while. Both songs are unreleased by the band other than on this comp but only "Used to love her" makes their appearance on the comp memorable.
Those Unruly is a pretty unknown band even in the US and their place on the comp is interesting to say the least (i seem to recall the band charing at least one member with BCC though). Unknown or not they have picked out two of the best songs from their otherwise quite mediocre 2009 album (especially the song Skinhead Rock'n'Roll). Havnt heard them before? Be sure to check them out.

Finland might be one of the smallest countries based on population but when it comes to punk and now lately Oi! they sure know how to make themselfs heard around the world. The bands appearing on the record might not be my favourite bands from my neighboring nation but they stand tall nevertheless. The Hoist makes "soft-oi" and do it well especially on their song "Ownhand".
Open finger is broken finger comes out on top as the "band with the wierdest name" even though they share the comp with no less than two Russian bands. As much of an accomplishment as this might be their music don't really speak to me for some reason.

Not the greatest compilation but still interesting because of their wierd choice of bands and the fact that BCC has two unreleased songs on it.

Va - Bernando says.. Keep it in the voting booth Vol.1 (2013)

Tracklist:
01. Vanguard - Fencewalker (USA)
02. Cock sparrer - Watch your back (UK)
03. Broken heroes - Skinhead Not A Politician (USA)
04. The London Diehards - PC Mafia (UK)
05. The clichés - Another riot (Sweden)
06. Resistance 77 - True punk and oi (UK)
07. Section 5 - Fuck your politics (UK)
08. Clockwork crew - Two sides the same (Sweden)
09. Discharger - Slap Him In His Face (Netherlands)
10. Contemptuous - Fanatiker (Sweden)
11. Strongarm and the bullies - Realistic (USA)
12. Kalevalan Viikingit - I don't believe in anarchy (Finland)
13. Skinfull - This is oi! (UK)
14. Perkele - Leave us alone (Sweden)

This compilation is not in any way a compilation against any side right or left. Oi! in it's purest form IS political and the only way it can survive is if both sides of the coin can co-exist. With that said it is a compilation against political fractions trying to dictate whats right and wrong within the scene. They do this by boycotting shows organized by a promoter that might have been something at one point, they boycott distros that might sell a record by a group that might have a certain view that don't fit their world view. They have also started to brand certain bands that are non-political but refuse to conform to their ideals. Bullshit.

Oi! is nether red nore racist. It's the voice for those without one in the established society. Let's keep it that way. Stay political but keep the crusade for yourselfs (except for my crucade that is).

V/A - Every Perfect Gift CD (2011) - Tribute To Templars

Tracklist:
01. Intro
02. The Crusaders - The Templars (Germany)
03. Pogon BGD - War On The Streets (Serbia)
04. The Daltonz - Don't Do Anything At All (France)
05. Uchitel Truda - Victims (Russia)
06. Antipati - Another One (Sweden)
07. Vindicate This! - They Don't Care (Sweden)
08. Total Annihilation - The Glory It Once Was
09. 45 Adapters - New York
10. The Cliches - NYPD (Sweden)
11. Bombardiers - You Decide (France)
12. Bulldozer - Never Fade Away (Spain)
13. Outro

A bootleg tribute with various artists that covered Templars through the years and since it's a bootleg i don't think the creators have capitalist intentions behind the product, hell i dont even think it's for sale in the first place so therefore i upload it a bit earlier than i would do a normal release.

Not much to say about this release and i think anyone with as much intrest in the various national scenes around the world as i have have atleast heard 90% of these songs before.

First thing i have to say is thank Allah for Sweden and the amount of bands this tiny little nation of 10 millions has spewed out through the years. The fact that we have as many and if not more internationally current Oi! bands as a nation like say... Russia really says something about the scene here.

My favourite active Swedish band The Cliches make a good cover but get sidelined by a band that i often don't like Antipati, mainly because they have always been a bit to much Stockholm for me (Swedens capitol) with all the "our scene is us" mentality aside they make a nice Swedish version of Another one. This song has more strengt in a nation like Sweden where alcohol-sales is run by the govenrment and dragged down with taxes that would make any full-blooded American cry like a little bitch in fear of the red beast.
Third Swedish band Vindicate This? Nothing new, always great.

As for US both those two bands can be viewed here on the side and as for the rest of the world? Get your own US of Oi! of...... if you want to promote your national bands.

V/A - Sons and daughters of this savage land LP (1996)

Tracklist:
01. Cocknoose - Bloody chainsaw
02. Cocknoose - Bite it you scum (GG Allin Cover)
03. The tunnel rats - Live free or die
04. The tunnel rats - Don't tell yer mom
05. The tunnel rats - Patriots militia
06. The toughskins - Motorized
07. The toughskins - I'd rather stay home
08. The toughskins - Real enemy (The Business cover)
09. Antiseen - Self induced lobotomy
10. Antiseen - Ugly American
11. Hellstomper - Ruby don't take your love
12. Hellstomper - Meatman
13. Hellstomper - The race is on
14. Murder junkies - Rowdy beer drinkin night (GG Allin cover)
15. Murder junkies - No one's safe
16. Rancid vat - Rock'n'roll fraud

Released by Baloney Shrapnel in 1996.

Some might ask what scumfuck trailerpunk alá Confederate Scum might be doing on this site about American Oi!. The reason is the band calling themselfs The Toughskins and just to get it out of the way this is not the infamous Oi! band Toughskins already discogged here (even though site's like Discog seems to think so) and has nothing to do with the punkband The Toughskins (will post them in the future) from Florida. This little band would be named Toughskins 3 if ever mentioned in a drunken conversation between recordcollecting punk/skin nerds. The reason i am featuring them on the site is because even though their members background in the trailerpunk scene they ARE an Oi!-band and even do a bloody cover of The business (and we all know how Oi! that is).

Even though my love for scumfuck trailerbands such as GG Allin and Antiseen might become smaller and smaller the older i grow one cant ignore its rugged charm they posses and the fact that they actually make some really superb rocksongs. Add to that the fact that they often stand more to the right than 95% of all other trendy leftist punkbands and one can almost call them a guilty pleasure of mine (though tucked away and hidden UNDERNEATH my old collection of pornmovies in the adict).

The A-side to this compilation starts out with my favourite trailerband, namely Cocknoose that reminds me about a mixture of old GG Allin and the sound that the fantastic band Liberty 37 (will get to them in the future) had when they where around. It's quick, rough, brutal and one hell of a way to start an otherwise mediocre LP.

Second band is The tunnel rats that flirts with the more conservative and patriotic part of the Oi!scene with their constitutional oriented punkrock. This is often the punkrock that i love but to bad for the rats they sort of suck and except for their song "Live free or die" it is best left unheard.

And then onto the "Oi!-band" of the comp and also one of the biggest letdowns. They sure have a distinct Oi!-sound even though it's mixed with some Motörhead-ish speedthing going on but no matter how good their song "Motorized" is that trashing of The Business classic is unforgiven. This only further convinces me that every Oi! band that from this day onward makes a cover of this song or Last Resorts "Violence in our minds" should be convicted to brutal lashes and/or forced sodomy.

Now finally flipping the vinyl to the B-side and we are welcomed by the most wellknown trailerpunks today. Antiseen is a band that most know of in one way or another either because they consist of the people that played with GG Allin or because of some of them being members in bands such as Empire falls today. Or if you know them because of the records they make (70 releases and counting..) you know exactly what to expect from these songs. Think Limecell mixed with The Loose Skrews and top that of with some "good 'ol boys" anti-commie lyrics.

Hellstompers simply sound to country and hillbilly for me to even care so moving on.

Murder Junkies just like Antiseen used to hang around GG Allin and even recorded a couple of records with him under the name GG Allin & The Murder Junkies. Just like Antiseen you probably know what to expect from this it's obscene and anti-PC but be sure to check out the tune "No one's safe", a superb little song.

Last out is the biggest surprise on the record and a totally new experience for me, namely Rancid Vats. Sure i have heard of them before but never payed them no mind so to be honest this was the first song i have heard. All i can say is i am sold and need to check out their other releases (15 something records just waiting for my listening pleasure). They remind me about earlier US punkrock like The Gizmos but with a hell lot of more attitude to go around. If you hate scumfuck punkrock and rednecks atleast give this band a chance, you will probably like it if you have such good taste as i have.

15. Violent society - Merry Christmas I Fucked Your Snowman
16. Pressure 28 - Santa, That's My Wife (UK)
17. Secret army - Fired in Christmas
18. Cunt sparrer - Oi! To the World

Released by Black Hole Records in 2010.

I got this little CD and a drink-coaster sent to me as a gift by Interpunk last year and as much as i hated the original comp that came out in 1998 i sort of (sort of) enjoyed this one. Since then a Volume 3 and 4 has been released once each year so as long as recordlabels keep sending me free shit i might just make this a tradition each year (cause god knows i wouldnt spend cash on these records).

With Christmas punksong covers comes a whole lot of humor that no sane person can enjoy in a sober state. As much as tracks like "Merry Christmas I Fucked Your Snowman" might discourage more mature and well educated persons like myself who isnt living in a trailer the record was suprisingly well balanced and actually has some decent songs on it.

All is not Oi! though and there are some bands that i have never heard about before that sadly enough dont perform well enough to sway me over to they camp. Only band that has been featured here before is 45 Adapters with a really good song in the style of other songs they do. Bands that will be featured in the future like Revilers and Fed Up! all deliver exclusive songs though some do it better than the other in this perticular comp.

Bands that might not be counted as Oi! such as Violent Society and Dog Company are bands that i often enjoy but this time around they do nothing but giving me a headache and i blame the theme of the songs for this.

Most enjoyable thing on the record is Black Hole giving the chicks in Cunt Sparrer a shot at recognition after the last years "hipster-bashing" targeted at them. I like them and get nothing but pissed when reading some selfproclaimed skinheadmasters calling them faggots and whatnot just because they dont cater to the scene itself. People say they are "not punk" and "hipsters" and they are probably right at both points but what they seem to miss is this is a band that doesnt call themselfs anything. Two hot chicks and some bearded man making low-fi piano and acoustic guitar covers of famous Oi!-songs, whats so wrong with that? Me for one will continue to support them not only to be one of the few who gives out an opening embrace to "outsiders" but also because i can see through peoples addiction to fashion when on one hand slagging this band of but at the same time celebrating artists like Jenny Woo. If you ask me these girls do whatever it is they are doing ten times better than Jenny. As a dirty nail in Oi! purists eyes i will also ad one of their songs as a wrap-up. Excellent cover, hipsters or not.

In disregard of politics and agendas some people go to their graves fighting for what THEY believe is right. No matter where you're from and no matter what your background is any man or woman with any sense of honor can respect that.
Some went so other could stay home and burn the flag, discuss racial equality and drink frappöchenos.

15. No man's land - You and me (Indonesia)
16. Urban riot - Dangermouse

Released by Templecombe in 2006.

Not only one of the greatest t-shirts ever worn to decorate the cover but also an album with a whole lot of substance and a whole lot of good songs. Like in most cases when reviewing comps i must say it has its good and bad sides (guess comps cant deliver to everybodys taste and leave everybody happy at the same time. Even though both Deadline and Stomper 98 are two of the most overrated bands in my oppinion the Templecombe also adds some of my favourite bands like Retaliator and On file to the songlist.

Retaliator opens the album good with what is probably the best song on the whole comp. The lyrics take up the delicate subject of St. Georges Day and questions the lack of nationalistic pride in Britain today, a subject thats even more current today than in 2006 probably.

Other great bands/songs that i had never heard of before buying the album back in 2009 are Bulldogg Samurai and the Indonesian band No mans land that deliver a great and somewhat drunkensounding singalong ballad.

Most US bands sound great on the comp but the US gold goes to Counterattack (a band that needs to make a reuion).

A free online comp released by Brandon from Fighting 84. Thanks to Brandon and all the bands for appearing and giving us free songs.

First thing of i noticed some of the songs where in M4a-files instead of MP3 but this shouldnt pose a problem if you know your way around a computer. Either download the free VLC Media Player or use a converterprogram (tons of them out there).

As much as i loved last years free comp This is our culture this one is a huge step up. Not only are the bands and the songs performed by them better but there are more of them to. This record is a RAC/Oi! compilation and packs all the drama that one would think comes with that. First response i saw on another site was someone shouting about 99 bottles not being racist..... they are not and i dont see why they should be because they perform on a scenecomp with a band that might be (or not). I could have understood the complaints if the record costed money and the money went to funding the rise of the third reich but this is not the situation here. The scene is diverse and so should a comp be so thanks again Brandon.

Since all bands appear free of charge i wont complain but simply highlight the better sides of the album and i guess i'll start with the new band (atleast to me) Bronco army from Brazil. I first heard them on the 3-way split they did with Pridefull & Shaven heads called For the love of rock n oi earlier this year, the vocals and their delivery where simple and genious on the split and the same goes for their skinpride anthem Never gonna die. Top fucking song to open the album with.

Biggest surprise on the comp where Youngblood. Their Final war album from 1989 might be far from "politically ok" but it sure as counts as a US classic if you ask me. Their later albums has all been dipped in some sort of "racial lucky-13" pot and i simply cant stand them any more. This new version of an old Barrom heroes song makes me interested again. The singer seems to be on point again and i am loving the ballad feeling, way better than the aucostic version they had before.

Second us RAC band on on the comp is the singer from Final war's new project Evil inside. Even if you ignore Final war's politics they have always been a mediocre band but one thing they have had going for them is their singer. This new (sounds less political to me atleast) band sounds great and makes me want to hear more.

Fighting 405 might sound like a UK band but are actually from America. I had completly missed this band and noticed they even released a CD back in 2009. Ordered it and will review it in the future. Top song, top band.

First strike, Venganza tatuada and Combate 49 represent the eastcoast and deliver superb brickwall Oi!.

Great fucking comp and way better than most records you would have to pay actual money for. Only problem i can find with it is the lack of Fighting 84 on the playlist and Major disappointments choice of song (the only crappy song from their latest EP)

A free Oi!/Punk compilation CD that came with the 5th issue of Finlands Anti-hippie Fanzine. Cant remember who sent it to me or who i downloaded it from but if you read this then take a silent credit right here........

Since i mainly collect German, British and American Oi! i must say i dont have a clue who half of the bands are on this comp. Most of them fly by without leaving any real impact and some are to be honest quite bad but since they appear for free on the comp i am in no position of complaining. One band that was new for me and that really stands out is the Slovakian band Cenzure with their song Grof Dracula. Have no idea what the lyrics are about but judging from the awesome use of an organ, the evil laughter and the title i guess it has a horror theme. Thanks to the use of an organ (my favourite aditional instument in punk right after piano) it gets a New wave feeling that is always welcome.
Other bands that i had never heard before and that stand out are Skin ya teeth from Germany and Lahesoda from Estonia. The first band plays a layed back instrumental dub/ska song and the second one plays a rougher Oi!core. Other than that its not really anything special to get from the CD.

The states pitch in 4 bands in the struggle against vegetarians (or whatever this fanzine is about). The barons, The traditionals and Broken heroes are all well known bands by the readers of this site so i wont go into them. The fourth band called Dead in the trunk was a new one for me though. Their sound is a bit of a hardcore punk hybrid which isnt my cup of tea but their song The real deal is actually quite good. Wont be featuring them on the site though.

V/A - A simple understanding 7'' (2009)

Tracklist:
01. Empire falls - Bite it you scum (GG Allin cover)
02. Bouncing betty - Commuter man (D.R.I. cover)
03. Lamones - Commando (Ramones cover)

Released by Ironclad Records (i think) in 2009.

Thanks to Anonymous European for sending it to me.

Yet another coveralbum featuring Empire falls with verry little information about who's actually behind it.

Empire falls deliver their now old but still great cover of GG Allin (one of many) and yet again i get blown away by the impact of Brians voice.

Bouncing betty is some rightwinged band that i never really cared for and this song doesnt convince me.

Lamones is a punk coverband from Italy that is known in their country for making great covers of everything from Ramones to Misfits. Great and quite popsounding singer and a great choice of song to cover.

All in all a good EP for anyone into punkcovers.

Nothing to do with US Oi! but an all British Oi!/RAC bootleg i have been working on for some time now. All songs send a clear message to predators of the young all around the world.
Take note that even if some of the bands on the comp are on the far right there are no fascist political messages in any of the songs, unless you think a fair punishment to match the subhuman crime is fascist.

Released by Neck Records in 2010.

This night it was -42 Celcius (-44 Fahrenheit) in northern Sweden, i can easily say i find no reason to even go outside the door this weekend. And with this said there will be a lot of post both here and on VHS-ploitation.

I reviewed the first volume in 2010 and even though it didnt contain that much exclusive material it was a really good collection of unknown acts out of the Delaware scene. This time around they still focus on their hometown but they have broaded their sights and even include a bunch of Canadians.

I like most of the band on the comp but it all seems a bit to weak to me and most songs has like on the previous comp been released on records at the time of the comps release.

The loose skrews, Broken heroes, The barons, Road to ruin and The boozers have all been discographied on the site and to my knowledge all the songs they offer on the comp so i will skip directly to the less known acts.

The hated is a longrunning band from Delaware (20 years strong) and has released a couple of records but no matter where i look i cant find any of them for sale. The only other material i have is a demoCD from 2009. They play a sort of punkier Oi! and they do it well even though these two songs are a bit weaker than their older songs. A band that i will get to sometime in the future. (Take a look at my wantedlist on the bottom of the page to see what records i am looking fotr with the band)

Shitfit is a screamo trashy punkband from New Jersey and a good example of why i hate most other people into punk. Not my cup of tea.

The keefs play a radiofriendly steetrock/streepunk (or whatever the hell you kids kall it these days) and i must say i kind of like them, their first song We're ok that is. Stear clear from their song Compromise if you know whats good for you.

The last band on the comp called Drunken dru band is a bunch of Canadians who think they live in Ireland. They play the sort of Irish folkpunk that somehow in later years has been mixed up in the Oi! scene. Whats next a punkalbum featuring a rapband?..... What thats already been done?? (US of Oi! Vol.2 i am looking at you)

Best songs on the comp are the old demosongs from The barons and the song Beer drinking hooligan by Road to ruin.
6/10

V/A - Cashing in on christmas CD (1996)

Tracklist:
01. Wretched ones - The christmas song
02. Headwound - Merry christmas, i fucked your snowman
03. Limecell - Christmas
04. Jumpin' landmines - Santa's suspect
05. Stuntmen - Shopping center santa
06. Showcase showdown - Ho ho ho chimihn

09. Lower class brats - The drinking song
10. Bomb squadron - Run run Rudolf
11. Dead end cruisers - Father christmas
12. Stocks and bombs - Cashing in on christmas

Released by Black Hole Records in 1996.

This is the worst and cheesiest bullshit i have ever imported from overseas. It personifies bad humor, bad taste and bad musicianship. Naming a song Merry christmas, i fucked your snowman is something i might have thought funny when i was 8 years old... maybe i am just getting to old for this sort of music.

You should check out Bomb squadrons song if you download since its the only decent song on here. Gigglepunk for farmerkids with tribalshirts but nothing for me.

Anyway happy Yuletide to you all.

V/A - The spirit of Oi! American style LP (1989)

Tracklist:
01. New glory - Sarge
02. The mad hatters - Black hat
03. The mad hatters - Cold eyes
04. Immoral discipline - Your life is a lie
05. Immoral discipline - Big mouth
06. The allegiance - Retaliation
07. The allegiance - Rough justice
08. Forced reality - Remember the day
09. Arresting officers - Deserve to die
10. Arresting officers - Changing of the guard
11. The uprise - Around the world
12. The uprise - Media fool
13. Best defence - American & proud
14. Best defence - Lost now found
15. Best defence - We'll smash you

Released by Oi!core Records in 1989.

First of all take note that THIS is the real deal and has nothing to do with the two CD bootlegs that where released after them and featured bands like Warzone etc on them.
Secondly i would like to thank Joseph Gerlitzki (who also played in one of the bands on the comp) for the rip and scanning of some sick quality (the LP is uploaded in a 170mb file).

It wouldnt even matter if the music on the album was shit since the cover is well worth a 10/10 alone but that is not the deal here. The US of Oi!, Armed with the truth and Backstreets of American Oi! in all their glory basicly only copied this grandfather of exceptional US Oi! collections.

Setting the standard for something that was hard to find in the states at this time namely true unpolished Oi!.
The record was even so good that it managed to push out two great Mad Hatters songs. As impossible this might sound it's actually true and both of their songs are some of the best on the whole record and far from the sound that was on the mess called their LP.

Also songs that i never liked in the first place gets a whole new light thanks to the great soundquality on the record. For instance i never cared much for Retaliation by The allegiance or American & proud by Best defence but listening to those songs here i love them both.

Forced reality is a band that i havnt gotten to on this site but i plan on dealing with them in 2012. As most of their songs Remember the day doesnt stand out in any way but is still of high quality.

Even though so called RAC bands like Arresting officers and New glory appear on the LP and some lyrics in some songs can be offensive to "faggets" and "commies" i wouldnt call it a RAC/Oi! record. This record just like the other comps i mentioned before defines what US Oi! is.
Only persons that seemed to have a problem with the lack of political correctnes on the record where Immoral discipline who claim they where "tricked" into appearing on it. A fan of the band but to me it seems like being tricked into winning on the lottery so stop bitching allready.

The size of the download is well worth it. Just like many of the bands on it this LP is one of the reasons i fell in love with something as wierd as American Oi!. Classic!
